JANUARY 2016

Happy New Year!

Begin a new year with a new you and a new budget.  First offer the Lord His 10% tithes, then plan out your monthly and annual bills and debt payments, with any surplus remaining put 10% into savings. The excess surplus over ten will be used to pay off the debt faster.  Once your debt is zero, except for a home or auto loan, you can increase your savings or begin placing money in retirement.  Another choice would be to pay extra on your loans.

A budget should not be a burden, it should be a guide to reach your goals.  Everyone needs a budget:  a family, a business, a college student, or a working teenager.  Couples and business partners should discuss the budget at least monthly for updates and adjustments.  An immediate discussion should arise when any income or expenses change.  With prayer and careful consideration, the budget is a tool to make cents for you!
